United States Privacy Notice

Research data is not advertising inventory.

This notice governs the United States edition and is designed to meet a conservative nationwide operating standard from an Illinois base.

Controller identity

The final registered name, Illinois principal address, and official privacy contacts will be inserted after formation and before the public-release gate can pass. Until then, this remains a private founding preview.

Information collected

The initial founding study does not request a name or email. We collect a random internal participant identifier, adult-eligibility attestation, consent history, state, optional county, community type, broad demographic and economic categories, survey language, survey answers, timing and coarse device information, recruitment attribution, quality-review outcomes, participation history, and privacy requests. Name and email are collected only if a participant later chooses to join the ongoing panel.

Identity separation and reporting

Optional panel contact details are stored in a restricted identity record for access, consent, duplicate prevention, support, security, and privacy-rights requests. Research answers use an internal participant identifier. Names, email addresses, contact details, and named individual responses are not included in public reports, client deliverables, dashboards, or downloadable research results. Released findings are de-identified and aggregated, and small result cells are suppressed.

Information deliberately excluded

We do not request Social Security numbers, immigration status, government identity documents, exact residential location, contact lists, biometric identifiers, raw IP-address archives, covert fingerprints, or full referring URLs.

Purposes

Information is used to maintain one participant profile, determine study eligibility, measure sample coverage, prevent duplicate or unreliable participation, conduct aggregated research, explain uncertainty, and respond to rights requests. It is not used to create individual advertising audiences.

Rights

All United States panelists can request access, correction, deletion review, withdrawal, and a portable copy through their panel privacy controls. Demosight will also honor legally required opt-outs of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and qualifying profiling—even though the founding operating model prohibits those uses.

Retention, security, and incidents

Retention is assigned by data class, documented before collection, and reviewed at least annually. Access is role-limited and logged. Demosight maintains incident assessment, containment, notification, restoration, and evidence-preservation procedures, including Illinois breach-notification duties.

Children

The founding panel is limited to adults 18 and older. Studies involving minors remain disabled until separate parental-consent, assent, safety, and jurisdictional controls are approved.
