Election Research Integrity

Political polling receives the highest release threshold.

Demosight will not publish an election finding merely because a questionnaire collected responses.

Prohibited work

Demosight rejects push polls, voter suppression, undisclosed campaign persuasion, disguised advertising, fabricated respondents, selective deletion intended to change a result, and sponsor control over findings.

Required disclosures

Every published election survey identifies the sponsor, research organization, field dates, target population, recruitment and sampling method, mode, sample size, geographic coverage, exact questions, weighting, quality exclusions, uncertainty, and material limitations.

Philippine gate

Philippine election studies require a current COMELEC-rule review, Fair Election Act disclosure package, sponsor contact information, preserved supporting data, and any election-specific filing or reporting required at the time of publication.

United States gate

U.S. political studies require AAPOR-aligned disclosure, sponsor verification, mode-appropriate contact compliance, nonresponse and weighting review, and state-specific checks when fieldwork, recruitment, or publication creates a local obligation.

AI boundary

AI may assist questionnaire review, coding, anomaly detection, and explanation. It cannot create respondents, replace human answers, or determine whether a politically sensitive result is published without accountable human approval.
